I’m a Noneofyourbusinethiest

I hate it when people try and label your religious beliefs.  “No I don’t think that Satan lives in my heart” – oh, so you’re a Christian then, are you?

“I don’t WANT to go to Church, dammit” – Ah.  An Athiest.  We’ll pray for you. Did you know, Jesus once…. *insert bible story here*

“Yes I believe in the afterlife, to a point” – so then you should believe in God and Jesus, Sheena – don’t be a hypocrite.  <– that beauty came from my Mom, believe it or not.

I can tolerate things to a point, regarding religion.  Curiosity is okay by me.  Judging or attempting to convert me is what I cannot make peace with.  People thinking that they have the right to my private thoughts and if they don’t like what they hear, trying to change my belief to suit theirs, piss me off.

“Okay, fine, don’t go to church, but will you pray to Jesus tonight and ask him to help you believe more?” is something a close friend of mine once said to me. I shit you not.  Do you not agree that is the biggest crock of bulltit you’ve ever heard?  How the shitting hell am I meant to seriously pray to something that I don’t even know I believe in, to help me “believe more”.  Get. Out, Sylvia Stallone.

It irks me that my best mate still sends me Jesus Chain Mail.  I’ve phoned her and asked her to stop.  I’ve emailed her back with snotty replies.  I’ve even gone as far as changing all the Jesus references to Invisible Pink Unicorn, and she still hasn’t stopped.  Now I just delete them.

Arrrrrrrrgh! Just leave me alone, stop trying to box me.  Its the damnation of my soul at risk, not yours. My beliefs (or non beliefs) have nothing to do with you, so stop fuckin asking me about them!

amazing post.. @shebeegee you are not alone in your frustration..

It’s shocking how religion and politics walk so hand in hand. If you don’t vote or take sides in the political system you are branded, a traitor etc, if you don’t go to the military because you would rather see peace on earth they brand you a coward and sometimes even imprison you. If you don’t go to church they brand you and say they will pray for you.

Do these so called Christians even read the bible?

Rom 13:10,12,13 Reads – 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God; 12 So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.
13 Therefore let us not be judging one another any longer, but rather make this YOUR decision, not to put before a brother a stumbling block or a cause for tripping.

Matt 18:6 goes on to say: 6 But whoever stumbles one of these little ones who put faith in me, it is more beneficial for him to have hung around his neck a millstone such as is turned by an ass and to be sunk in the wide, open sea.

By constantly walking hand in hand with political leaders, by telling people they will burn in hell if they sin, these “Christians” are putting huge stumbling blocks in front of others and therefore going directly against what the bible teaches. Let it not be said the bible which they preach never warned them..

The question you should ask them next time is “do you read the bible?” Stop preaching about something and misleading people in the name of the bible if you haven’t even read the book!! The bible clearly warns what will happen to you if you do that.

Shebeegee so sorry to hear all these religious freaks are “stumbling” you.. or as you put it pissing you off.. My personal advice would be to ignore these people and just focus on your own personal relationship with the creator. Because as you so wisely stated “it’s the damnation of my soul at risk” The nice thing is that the bible clearly says”: Draw close to God and he will draw close to you: James 4:7-10 so luckily thats not a hard thing and if you are ready you can easily do it.

If I tell you, its much better to use sunflower oil in your cars engine will you believe me or will you refer to your vehicles manual for the answer. It is very much the same with the bible.
The bible is a handbook from the creator too humans. The only way to find the answers to your questions is to read the book. No matter what clever “bulltit” stories people tell you, it’s alway best to refer to the manual..

Anyway I hope this comment doesn’t further frustrate you 😉 Just adding my comment.

for a christian its a tricky line to toe… so to speak.
the bible asks that as chritians, they do three things- read our bibles, pray, and witness to others. you don’t HAVE to do these things to go to heaven, simply asking christ into your life will do the trick- but at the same time, a christian who feels strongly about it will witness like a mad thing- and are labelled “bible-bashers”.
sorry they’re bugging you shebeeliciousness… they prolly feel they’re doing what is asked of them.
doesn’t help i know- thats just my 2c.

Thank you all for your comment, especially Simon, it must have taken ages to type that all up 😉

Someone actually said to me this morning they were “disappointed” in me for writing this.

I still can’t get over it.

Good subject choice….. i too suffer from the midly irritating virtue of being an uncouth savage with no form of religion…. so those in the religous circles tell me just before i assault them for infringing on my rights to be a non believer…… Hypocrates is the word you looking for!
I love the type that come knocking to give you a pamphlet to read that will score you browny point when you move on…. I usually jump up and down a few times infront of them and then loudly ask “DOES IT LOOK LIKE I NEED A F%$#& CRUTCH ?”
My all time cracker was my old ladies reply to some people who buzzed the gate and told her they were missionaries, to which my dear old mamma replied at the top of her voice “i dont give a f%$^# if you do it doggy style just F$#%^ OFF!!!”
Now if you will excuse me i have an urgent sacrifice to offer up to the great lord of Darkness! 👿

last time I checked God didn’t really need any mortal to touch somebody’s life, I think he’s quite capable of doing his own talking, anyway…

i’m a christian but i hate these chain mails… I NEVER READ ANY OF THEM… i just press that awesome *delete* button!

  • 11. fatbastard  |  August 20, 2008 at 12:44 pm

I don’t get those chain letters anymore because I get viciously nasty. I go as far as finding satanic verses or any evil bible quotes and bombard the sods with them till they stop.

  • 12. 6000  |  August 20, 2008 at 12:56 pm

Sheena, yu sound mixed up and confused regarding religion and its meaning. Might I invite you along to the Church of Slipknot one evening, which “influences” those individuals who have failed to find solace elsewhere?

    Bring your own sword.

Jesus is quoted many times in the Bible saying that a believer can ask for anything through prayer and receive it. He even goes so far as to say that mountains and trees can be thrown into the sea simply by praying for it. This is clearly a lie, and can be proven to be a lie by any believer. Simply pray for me to be converted to Christianity right away. Or better yet ask God to move the mountains behind my house. He could make a lot of converts that way. If I’m converted today, I’ll post a public apology on my web site and devote my life to kissing God’s ass. If I’m not converted it would only be fair for you to apologize and devote your life to kissing my butt.

Here are the quotes from Jesus that proves that he lied:

    1) And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)

    2) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB)

    3) Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst. (Matthew 18:19-20 NAS)

    4) Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. (Mark 11:24-25 NAB)

    5) And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-13 NAB)

    6) And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14 NAB)

    7) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 NAB)

    8) It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. (John 15:16 NAB)

    9) On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24 NAB)

A lot of Christians ignore what Jesus actually says in the Bible. They also tend to add things to the actual words to make them say something else. If you honestly and truthfully read these quotes, without adding to them, it is very easy to see that Jesus is not saying that God will think about your prayers. He says God will grant all your prayers. Clearly, God doesn’t grant all prayers and this proves that Jesus was a habitual liar.

    find lots more on http://evilbible.com

  • 20. Graham  |  August 20, 2008 at 2:33 pm

Interpretation of the passages in the bible can be so varied and I put up this site to find all of the references in the bible to a certain term and found it quite useful in many arguments.

I agree with you, leave those alone that don’t share your beliefs!

Those that make it their mission to save your soul can be seriously irritating but I suppose it tells them somewhere that it is their duty as a christian.

As requested by the lady in charge!

Ok so it seems kids are nature’s revenge on us for what we got up to as kids yes?
The old adage of living long enough to be a pain in the ass to your kids rings true yes?
Kids of yester year were innocent and pretty uncomplicated. Yes?
Kids of yester year were seen and not heard. Yes?
Kids in the old days played outside and did kid things. yes?
Kids in the old days did as they were told. Yes?
Kids got hidings if they misbehaved. Yes?
Kids of yester year finished school and went on to be a benefit to society. Yes?
Kids were in every way normal. Yes?

It’s a word that has long disappeared from our vocabulary and our education system!

All this airy fairy drug induced new age thinking about self expression and freedom of choice that is the new way of raising kids is a load of total bullshit!

Who in their drug induced state thought “Oh wow man! Lets let the little people rule the world the way they see fit, let them do as they please as they have a choice to do right or wrong and if its wrong”…….. Another pull on the spliff!…. “ They must be allowed to do as they please as it’s part of their freedom of expression” another pull on the spliff….. Followed by a sip of vodka washed to wash down the Prozac….. “The children are our future”…….. BLOODY RIGHT ABOUT THAT YOU FREAK! So DISCIPLINE them so they know how to behave and be socially beneficial to the country and are able to grow up as a normal law abiding human being!

So what the F%$# is being produced at the moment by our child bearing adults? Because they definitely NOT kids as we know them!

The children of today have been allowed to go back to their feral roots, they don’t get hidings any more, they don’t get drafted to the army so they can become men! The girls turn into wanton hussies by the time they 11yrs old, if they don’t do well at school they get dosed with Ritalin, if they misbehave at school they get detention or some other waste of time, they can treat their teachers any way they like with NO fear of recourse because mommy and daddy are too busy trying to sue the teacher and the school because their offspring got into trouble for wearing a earring that wasn’t school regulation! WTF?
Kids are killing each other at school daily, there’s NO DISCIPLINE!!
Kids are killing their parents, there’s NO DISCIPLINE!
If a kid misbehaves mommy doesn’t clout the little shit, because some other do gooder will report her for child abuse! But the same do gooder is probably using her own kids to make porn or sell drugs on the street corner!
Parents don’t think they have the right to discipline their own children anymore, funny because they’re the cause of the children needing discipline!
Surely parents should raise their kids to know right from wrong? Not let them learn it from the police officer that arrests them for dealing drugs or statutory rape!

Why have all the rules that you and I grew up abiding by been left out of the equation?

Parents are to quick to listen to likes of Oprah and other talk show hosts that by the way probably wouldn’t know which end of a kids talks, but they must be the leading authority on child rearing as they have a bloody TV show? WTF?

All this talk that TV influences violence and deviant behaviour is bullshit as well!

IF THE CHILD WAS RAISED WITH PROPER VALUES AND WAS TAUGHT WRONG FROM RIGHT BY THEIR PARENTS we wouldn’t have half the amount of bad behaviour that we see nowadays! PARENTS ARE TO BLAME!! As they have failed in their duty to teach their kids right from wrong!

So infact, the parents who were raised properly (some of them) should be responsible for their children for they are our future, and the parents that had a bad up bringing you excused, as your kids will make up the statistics and will become infamous by making headlines on the front page of the Daily News if YOU DON”T try and put it right!
